Visual: Races at MIS

Wednesday, August 31, 2005

Ahh yes, Michigan International Speedway. The racing is fun and all, I'm a NASCAR fan, I'll admit that. The racing is only have the fun if you actually go to the track though. If you stay in the campsites around the track it's basically a weekend-long (or week long if you get ther early) big ass party. Everyone loves a party!

For the record, first group shot of the weekend: 10:47am Saturday morning. Maker's Mark Bouron it was.

Here's the front of the Camping area we were in:

Right across the street from the Track:

Besides drinking a lot, it's tradition to have campfires, usually by late in the night, if there's little wind, the camping area may as well have fog around it with all the camp smoke.

Chilling by the fire, niotice the ring of empties around the fire, another tradition:

Of course it has to be a good fire. Dad piled it on:

Along with our other tradition of getting extra branches from the woods next to the site, it growed up:

At one point I was going to take a picture of eveyone sitting around again, but caught a full moon:

Then Dad joined in... anyone know how to disown parents? What's worse, he doesn't drink...

The next morning, the beautiful can ring lies in ruins:

The Truck is packed full for the trip home:

Yes, it was a fun weekend...

And here's a bonus, try fitting this in your bath tub:
