Visual: Mr.T's New Pad!

Tuesday, September 13, 2005

SO I decided that Mr.T didn't seem very happy in his tiny old referenda bin thing. He didn't eat much and rarely swam around, so I got him some new digs.

If you don't remember the old bin, click here.

I went all out and got him a nice big fatty 20 gallon Turtle Tank, with a cork log for him to crawl on, a power filter, a heater, gravel on the bottom, a basking light and also a full spectrum light.

Here's the new set-up:

Much more room eh?

Holding true to his namesake, Mr.T likes checkin himself out in the glass:

He's super happy now and spends the whole day (Well what I see of him) swimming around the tank and pushing pebbles around:

At night when it gets chillier, he likes to get all snuggly with the tank heater:

He likes to Bask a lot too, but only when there is no one around, I'll usually get home and see him on the Cork Log basking. The second he sees or hears me though he jumps back in the water and swims like mad. I think I might have to set up a "TurtleCam" once we get the net running at Slacker HQ. He's eating a lot more too, so I'm glad he loving the new digs!
