Visual: Who Says Christmas is Over?

Tuesday, February 28, 2006

Time to unleash some of the backlog of pictures I know you are all clamoring to see!

As tradition since I have moved to Minnesota, I head back home to Madison, WI to visit the family for Christmas. I drive down chill out and enjoy the family time and then skip town with as much loot as possible ;O)

My family suffers from a disorder that seems to be fairly prevalent in society: C.S.S. or Christmas Splurge Syndrome. It's sad I know, but true :O) The foot of our tree is rarely chilly for long and at least one present must be purchased on Christmas eve.

Speaking of the tree:

Don't think about messing with it, there's an attack cat close at guard:

Me in my tradition gift opening spot, in front of my huge collection of snow globes (get one each year!):

Dad in his:

Gramma in hers:

And mom's picture was all fuzzy :O(

The stockings keeping watch:

Every year, gramma gets the newest Elmo toy, starting with Tickle Me and this year's was Chicken Dance Elmo. Which Kia, I'm pretty sure, wanted to rip the gizmos out of. Or snuggle with. She's unpredictable like that.

Someone got a Lump of Coal. Oh, Wait, that's kia in her present!

The seemingly cheesy gifts...:

(Note: The Mom, bought the veggies when I was just starting college so I would "Have My Veggies" but then managed to forget where she "hid" them for, oh, 6 years or so hehe)

...are hiding good ones!

And of course, on Christmas morning, those stockings are stocked!

Yes, Santa is good to our house, but hey, when I was a kid, we didn't put out no stinking milk and cookies. NO! Santa went home with a bottle of Korbel Brandy after dropping off our gifts!

Jolly indeed!
